Small Hindi Inscribed Circle

14 Karat gold amulet and necklace. Amulet is the smaller then a dime and has nail taped Hindi letters on the front. The letters are soft and faint, not deep set. Original marking from antique piece were maintained.

Matte and strung on delicate 16” necklace.

These amulet were made and worn by the tribal gypsy people of Rajasthan Northern India, in late 19th Century into early 2oth Century. Traditionally they were made in silver or aluminum.
